Australia's premier international festival of Blues & Roots music takes over Byron Bay every Easter and is a highlight of the Australian music calendar. The Blues Fest features some of the world’s top blues and roots artists in a jam packed weekend of world class entertainment. 

The Annual Byron Bay Bluesfest is a 5 day festival of music with a great laid back crowd of all ages young and old.  Around 70,000 people walk through the entry gates over five days, listening to Blues and Roots music from the world’s finest global and local talent, making it one of the greatest single concert line ups in Australian history. The 26th annual festival in 2015 looks set to also be a fantastic event.

Listen to the best the planet has to offer across vintage blues and soul, jazz, latin, fusion, funk, swing, gospel, African, reggae, hip hop, R&B, swamp rock, folk and alt country – a massive selection which every year promises the finest line up of any festival in the country.

Accommodation for Byron Bay Bluesfest

Belongil Beach is quiet and relaxing , with a couple of great laid back cafes and a lovely surfing beach. Belongil has some terrific accommodation. At the luxury end is East on Byron a near new luxury resort for those wanting a fabulous 5 or 7 day break to really soak up the best that Byron has to offer. Byron Bay town centre accommodation is also just a short shuttle ride to the festival and is very popular, with lots to choose from.

Budget Accommodation for Byron Bay Bluesfest

Byron Bay budget properties are rare during Bluesfest and are usually booked by the end of the day tickets go on sale - if not before. Check out Nomads on Lawson or Byron Bay Side Central Motel as a good starting point. There is also a great range of budget accommodation in Ballina, which is a 30 minute drive from Byron Bay, with frequent shuttle buses to take you to and from the Festival. Weather you are staying in Byron Town Centre, Ballina, Lennox Head or one of the many other locations in or close to Byron Bay, Byron Bay Accom has the largest range of budget accommodation, but it does go very quickly, so we recommend you book early.

Mid Range Accommodation for Byron Bay Bluesfest

There are lots of mid range accommodation alternatives including, Byron Bay Hotels and Motels – have a look at these motels in great positions close to town and beach and just a quick shuttle ride to the festival, such as  Bay Beach Motel on Lawson.
