Byron Bay

Australia's most easterly point Byron Bay is a unique, cosmopolitan town bursting with natural beauty. Byron is regularly visited by Hollywood Stars and surf-loving combi drivers for good reason. Byron Bay Main Beach

The closest beach to the town centre is Byron Bay’s iconic Main Beach. With Julian Rocks on its horizon, grassy hills rolling down to its sandy shores and the Byron lighthouse overlooking it from the headland across the bay, it is famous for its breathtaking beauty.


Belongil Beach

Only a 10 minute beach walk to the centre of Byron Bay, Belongil Beach faces north and is an extension of Byron's Main Beach - Belongil has become one of Australia's most sort after places to live, and holiday!! Accommodation range from abosolute beachfront cottages, relaxed holidy houses and well appointed resort 3.5 to 4.5 star/self rated.


Wategos Beach

Sitting just under the Byron Bay Lighthouse and around 3 kilometres (5 mins drive) from the centre of town, Wategos Beach offers some of the best views and most expensive real estate in Australia. Accommodation ranges from 4 to 5 star / self rated - Guesthouses or Apartments and Holiday Houses.



Suffolk Park

Suffolk Park is a seaside settlement on the southern side of Byron, around 6 kilometres (7 mins drive) from the centre of town. Suffolk sits on Tallow Beach which is one of Byron's easterly facing beaches. Suffolk Park offers fantastic accommodation, 3 to 4.5 star - Motel, Resort, beachside cottages and Houses.




Bangalow is a small, quaint yet chic village 12 kilometres (10 minutes drive) west of Byron. Bangalow sits on the edge of Byron's Hinterland and boasts great cafes, restaurants and antique shops as well as hosting the annual Banglow Billy Cart Derby. Banglow offers limited accommodation, 3 to 4.5 star - Motel, B&Bs and Houses


Lennox Head

Lennox Head is a spectacular peninsula 17km south of Cape Byron and Byron Bay popular with hang-gliders and surfers. This small coastal town with a population of about 3,900 is located about half way between Byron and Ballina. Resorts and apartments from 4 to 4.5 star/self rated.




36 kilometres south of Byron this coastal town sits at the mouth of the Richmond River. It's a larger, yet quiter town than Byron Bay and can offer a cheaper accommodation alternative particularly in busy periods. Motels, hotels, resorts and apartments from 3 to 4.5 star/self rated.



Brunswick Heads

Just 15 minutes drive north of Byron Bay, Brunswick Heads / South Golden Beach is a quite coastal area with quiet beaches and a great golf course. Brunswick Heads can provide a cheaper alternative to staying in Byron Bay, particularly during high season. Beachside apartments range from 3.5 to 4 stars.



Byron Bay Hinterland

This covers a large area predominately west of Byron but also north of Murwillumbah just shy of the Queensland border. Byron Bay's Hinterland is a "stunning must see". It's almost always green and ranges from dense sub-tropical rainforest to rolling cow pastures with ocean views as a backdrop.



Tallow Beach

Tallow Beach is a beautiful 7 km stretch of surf beach is popular with the locals. With the iconic lighthouse in view to one end and beautiful Broken Head at the other, Tallow Beach is a scenically stunning beach. This stunning beach is also dog friendly for several kilometres.


Clarkes Beach

Located between Main Beach and The Pass, Clarkes Beach is another popular spot for families and holiday makers. The location of a famous camping ground and café, this spot is patrolled during school holidays making it a safe place to take your children.
