Entertainment in Byron Bay

Home to a variety of venues and the famous Byron Bay Blues Festival, Splendor in the Grass and the
Falls Festival Byron Bay is the epicenter of music and arts.  From bands to solo artists our local musicans
are making a name for themselves on the world stage and many play locally and often for free. The streets
are alive to the sounds of our local buskers and we have many international acts performing in our local venues.
You can also catch a band at one of the many Byron Bay Markets.

 

The Beach Hotel

The Beach Hotel or ‘Top Pub’ to the locals is the only pub on the beachfront overlooking Byron Bay’s Main Beach.  There is entertainment every night of the week from top Australian and international touring bands to ‘Open Mic’ nights for musicians starting out. 


The Beach Hotel also has excellent accommodation options at the Beach Hotel Resort.

The Rails Byron Bay

Right on the old Railway Station in Byron Bay The Rails is the only pub in Australia to have featured live music seven nights a week, for over 30 years.  The official name of the Railway Hotel in Byron Bay is "The Railway Friendly Bar" but the locals affectionately refer to it as "The Rails

The Byron Bay Brewery

Starting its historical journey in the early 1980′s as the Piggery, the Byron Bay Brewery Bar and Restaurant has a heritage of an era when rock concerts, hippies and long hair ruled the heart of Byron Bay. Open 7 days a week for fresh, award winning, boutique beer, great food, brewery tours and live entertainment.

The Northern Hotel

This classic old school pub and the infamous Backroom is renowned for hosting touring acts on a stopover from Sydney to Brisbane.  The Northern is right in the heart of Byron Bay and offers a classic modern touch to it's pub menu. 

Byron Community Centre

The new Community Centre complex in Jonson Street was completed in 2002 and the 246- seat amphitheatre, recently renamed the Byron Theatre, has hosted a huge range of events including music, dance, theatre, art, film, school productions and also conferences. 

Woody's Surf Shack

Rocking a vintage surf vibe, Woody's is open 8pm until 3am Monday to Saturday nights featuring live djs spinning old school classics and new school hits every night plus the best sound and lightshow in town Woody’s weaves modern Byron style with the iconic 70s era of surfing.

La La Land

A great cozy nightclub for a fun night out with a dance floor and balcony featuring live music and djs.  La La Land's roots are traced back to Melbourne to the infamous city's most influential clubs/bars frequented by the savviest people.
