A week of Byron Bay’s best budget eats

Trying new restaurants and cafes on holidays is always exciting, but can quickly break the budget. No need to miss out though, with our guide to grabbing a great foodie deal every night of the week at the most popular Byron hotspots. Whether it’s fine dining or fresh and delicious takeaway, enjoy a week of epic eating!

Monday - No Bones

Head to one of Byron’s favourite healthy eateries for happy hour from 5-6pm. Grab one their legendary cocktails for just $14 or a glass of wine or beer for under $10. Fill up a couple of grazing plates of incredible plant based cuisine and tick a Byron must-visit off your list!

Tuesday - Main St Burger Bar

Enjoy one of the freshest and most filling burgers in town on Tuesdays with a local Stone & Wood beer for just $20.

Wednesday - Balcony Bar

Cocktails at Balcony is a must do on your holiday list, and luckily there is a bargain to be had every Wednesday. Pop in from 5-6pm to enjoy the oysters they are famous for at half price. Pair these delicacies with happy hour deals on cocktails, wine and local beer and you have yourself a perfect Wednesday evening in Byron.

Thursday - Byron Bay Farmer’s Market

Many of the best chefs in town shop the weekly markets for their produce - so why not get in on the action? Grab incredible cheese, olives, fresh sourdough, seasonal fruit, delectable tomatoes, cured meats, chocolates and more for the ultimate sunset picnic. Pair with a Stone and Wood beer or natural wine from Luna Wine Store for the perfect Byron foodie experience.

Friday - Moonlight 

One of the hottest players on the local foodie scene, a meal at Moonlight doesn't need to break the budget. Visit between 5 and 6pm for a rotation of $20 food and drink specials - expect biodynamic wines, local beers and delectable morsels from the Hibachi grill, in the tradition of Japanese style grazing.

Saturday - Chihuahua 

For delicious, fresh, affordable Mexican cuisine in the centre of Byron Bay, you can’t beat Chihuahua. Expect the usual rotation of tacos, nachos and margaritas made with fresh local produce full of flavour - definitely one to add to your budget eats list.

Sunday - Three Blue Ducks

This well known fine diner at The Farm is not usually included in a list of cheap Byron Eats, but head in on a Sunday night to experience the fresh, sourced onsite produce they are famous for without blowing the budget entirely. For $55 enjoy a delectable seasonal roast dinner with sides and all of the trimmings and a glass of local wine or beer - a fitting end to a week of delicious affordable dining!
