Byron Bay is a pretty pet-friendly neighbourhood, with several doggie beaches, pups on leads widely accepted around town and budgies, cockatoos, rats and even a llama frequently seen escorting their human counterparts through our streets.

Walkies: The Byron coast has numerous stretches of beach from North to South that are dog-friendly with poop bags regularly restocked at most beaches.
We have created a map of the region’s dog beaches, from South Golden Beach north of Brunswick Heads, to Tallow Beach in the south.
Your Cafe Companion: Our enviable climate allows our cafes and restaurants to spill their seating out onto the pavements, allowing for al fresco dining, sidewalk coffees and open-air eating. Although man’s best friend isn’t allowed to go fetch your latte from inside, most cafes will happily let you keep your little four-legged friend with you outside.
Kinoko Japanese Restaurant not only serves some of the finest Japanese cuisine this side of Okinawa but also has outdoor, under cover dining where you can sit and enjoy your edamame and fugu and park your pooch without banishing him to the elements.
The Treehouse is situated right next to Belongil dog beach, allowing you and your canine compadre to go for a walk and then sit down for a snack, or even a delicious meal, still with sand between your toes.
Another superb spot for hound-happy dining is The Green Garage. Situated just outside Byron’s centre, the Green Garage is, first and foremost, a local grocery store, but it also boasts a large, undercover seating area with comfy day beds, a delectable salad bar, healthy snacks and treats and some of the finest coffee in the bay.
Finding Shelter: When we think of holidays with pets, our minds usually stray towards uncomfortable, poorly appointed and, at this time of year, cold and windy camp sites. But, with Byron Bay Accom, this needn’t be the case.

Stylishly designed, the property boasts a pool, spa and garden, five bedrooms from king-size to twin-share and peaceful and idyllic surrounds.
Bob’s Place: A quaint little cottage in the heart of Byron Bay, Bob’s Place is a casual cabin suited to a smaller family looking for comfortable, convenient, cost-effective accommodation that is fido-friendly. Sharing a yard with the main property, Bob’s Place is a great little getaway for the whole family, centrally located and just a relaxed amble from Byron’s bustling hub.
